Roscoe H. Moore,
Jr., founded Moore Electrical Contracting, Inc., in 1982 in Brea,
California. It is currently a privately held corporation with Rusty
B. Moore managing the day to day operations and estimating as
President, and founder Roscoe Moore guiding the overall
direction of the organization as Chairman.
From modest beginnings the Company
has grown into one of the most successful transportation-oriented
electrical contractors in Southern California. Corporate
headquarters are located on a five acre parcel in Corona,
California that includes over 22,000 square feet of warehouse, and
5,000 square feet of administrative offices. We have also
established regional offices and project management
offices across the greater Los Angeles area. The 2005 edition
of ENR Magazine's
"Top 600 Specialty Contractors", which includes all sub-trades,
ranked Moore Electric number 85 of all electrical contractors
inthenation , and number 8 in the
transportation field.
The Company's
prime focus is in the transportation area; including highway lighting and
traffic signal construction, airfield and runway lighting, toll road and
toll bridge collection facilities and electrical systems, Intelligent
Transportation Systems, and underground conduit systems for power and
communications.
"We have everything we need, to get
the job done." Independent and self-reliant, we own, operate, and
maintain a fleet of over 150 vehicles, in addition to
100+ pieces of heavy construction equipment including wheeled and
track mounted trenching machines, excavators, backhoes, cranes, tractor
trailers, dump trucks, water trucks, air compressors, directional boring
machines, traffic control devices, and related support items. A staff
of five full time mechanics maintains the fleet.
Moore
Electric has successfully contracted with most Southern California
governmental agencies including the Counties of Orange, Los Angeles,
Riverside, San Bernardino and Imperial, most municipalities, and many
private developers. Our greatest volume of revenue can be attributed to
our association with the many freeway and toll road projects in the region
managed by Caltrans,
and The Transportation Corridor Agencies . Moore has
also completed projects in the Bay Area of Northern California
consisting of the installation of toll collection facilities on six
toll bridges spanning the inland waterways of the Bay Area, including the
Oakland Bay Bridge. Other projects are underway in San Diego and
Central California.
