As Chairman and CEO of a $44
million electrical contracting company, Mr. Moore is responsible for maintaining
a leading-posture in the industry by implementing new strategies &
technologies in the field and in-house operations, as well as with the fleet and
heavy equipment. He is responsible for leading the company into new product
development and new market expansion, assuring its continued growth. Mr. Moore
oversees all phases of company operations including: estimating, project
management, accounting, purchasing, contract administration, union negotiations,
project development, customer relations, and employment development for over 200
employees. Moore Electric specializes in transportation projects including:
roadway lighting, traffic signals, airport lighting, toll road electrical and
toll collection facilities, all outdoor lighting applications and fiber optic,
transportation-based video surveillance systems and other voice/data/video
applications. With over 2,500 projects successfully completed, Moore Electric’s
total contracts exceed $270 Million.
Mr. Moore attended the University of
Washington and Cal Sate Long Beach before entering the Army in 1966. He served
in Vietnam with the 93rd Engineering Battalion constructing airfields, roads,
and various other military projects. After being discharged in 1968, he worked
his way up in the local electrical industry starting as an apprentice and moving
on to journeyman wireman, foreman, and estimator/project manager before founding
Moore Electric in 1982. Starting with 3 people, including himself, Mr. Moore has
managed the growth of Moore Electric to its present status of over 200 employees
and $44M in annual revenues. Mr. Moore is second generation in the electrical
business. His father Roscoe Moore, Sr. began in the electrical industry in 1954
with A-1 Signal Co. in Alhambra, California. Moore Electric is a member of the
National Electrical Contractors Association, (NECA), and Mr. Moore has been a
member of IBEW Local 11 since 1969.
Mr. Moore is married and is the
father of five children, 3 sons and 2 daughters. His eldest son, Rusty Moore, is
President of Moore Electric. His personal interests are American history,
ranching, motorcycles, skiing, golf, and all sports.
